We only collect information you choose to give us, such as when you:
- Sign up for our email newsletter
- Send us a message through our contact form
- Make a donation
- Order an Honor Wall plaque, register for an event, or offer to volunteer or donate an artifact
This may include your name, email address, mailing address, phone number, and details about your gift or inquiry.
How we use it
We use your information to respond to you, process and acknowledge donations, send tax receipts, share museum news and events if you’ve subscribed, and keep accurate records as required for a nonprofit. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information.
Donations
You can donate to the museum in several ways:
- On our website. The “Donate On-line” link takes you to a secure PayPal donation page.
- On our GoFundMe page. These gifts are processed by GoFundMe and PayPal Giving Fund.
- By mail or in person, using our printable donation form or by check.
Online payments are handled entirely by PayPal and GoFundMe. We never see or store your full card or bank details, and those services have their own privacy policies that apply to the information you give them. For gifts by mail or in person, we keep your contact and gift details on file to send a receipt and thank you.
Email newsletter
Our mailing list is managed through Constant Contact. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any email, or by contacting us.
Cookies and embedded content
Like most websites, ours uses cookies to work properly. We also use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use the site. This information is collected in a way that doesn’t identify you personally. Pages with embedded YouTube or Vimeo videos may allow those services to set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings.
Children
Our website is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.
Keeping your information safe
We take reasonable steps to protect the information you share with us and limit access to museum staff and volunteers who need it.
Your choices
You can ask us to update or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, at any time.
